Sentinels AstroDynamics Engineer 1623103 Job Description We are looking for a Flight Dynamics Engineer for our client ESOC. You will be part of the Sentinels Flight Dynamics Team CopernicusSentinels Operations Teams. The primary areas of responsibility are the AOCS Monitoring, Command Generation and Mission Planning. Your tasks will focus on the following Support the Flight Dynamics Operations within Sentinels team, routine and special operations including LEOP and deorbiting Sentinels Flight Dynamics software exploitation, operation and maintenance Support to Sentinels launch campaigns FD system tests, simulations to prepare and validate operational support Oncall, and eventually call in, support to support potential collision avoidance manoeuvres Generic flight dynamics support to other Sentinels Ground segment systems and teams FCT, SIM officer, ground stations, ... Required Skills and Experience Required background in mathematics, mechanics and dynamics Mature problem solving skills Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Familiarity with operational training Familiarity with programmingscripting languages, its operation, exploitation and maintenance Previous experience in ESOC FD in the specified subdomains Familiarity with FD systems Familiarity with ESOC FD infrastructure software used for Sentinels Experience in coordination of FD operations support for earth Observation missions Experience working with operational missions in AOCS monitoring and command generation and in particular previous experience with CopernicusSentinels missions Desirable Skills and Experience Experience in working in an operational environment Familiarity with FORTRAN programming language Experience in operational training Familiarity with the ESOC working environment and Quality Management System QMS Experience with prelaunch activities and launch campaigns of satellites. Copernicus Sentinels Data Systems Engineer 1623105 Job Description We are looking for a Copernicus Sentinels Test Validation Engineer for our client ESOC. You will be part of the Flight Dynamics Operations Sentinels team which supports the Sentinels Mission Control Systems and Simulators. Initially this service will be fully dedicated to the Sentinels MCS Engineering support, however it should not be excluded that at a later stage tasks related to the Sentinels Simulators Engineering support may be included. For both of these Mission data systems, the service includes Specification of the software requirements of these systems in collaboration with the operational users Definition and specification of their internal and external interfaces in agreement with the relevant parties Acceptance of the deliverables received from industry, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance to the applicable requirements Support to the mission operations staff as required in the various operational phases, including System Validation Tests, simulation campaign and in software support coordination as part of the Flight Control Team during critical operational phases such as launches Coordination with other internal ESOC or external units, e.g. with the unit supplying mission data systems infrastructure and with the unit supplying the ICT systems and services Participation in research and development activities in the area of mission data systems Participation in the testing and validation of the various infrastructure elements used by the Sentinels MDS as well as definition of the future evolution of these systems Collaboration with other missions to ensure crossmission consistency and harmonization between Sentinel and other missions MDS systems, spinin from other missions into the Sentinel MDS and spinout from the Sentinel system to future systems including, but not limited to, future Sentinel missions Required Skills and Experience Good knowledge of Mission Control Systems for Earth Observation satellites and the EO MCS Kernel Experience as Software Support for Earth Observation Missions including prelaunch activities and launch campaigns of satellites Familiarity with MICONYS and in particular extensive knowledge in the operational deployment of external systems EDDS, GFTS, DARC Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Familiarity with programmingscripting languages e.g. C, Java, JavaScript, shell scripting Capability to interact with users in a customer oriented manner. This includes 1st and 2nd line support Experience in working with operational missions, and in particular, previous experience with CopernicusSentinels missions Experience with the ESOC working environment including Procedures and Quality Management System QMS The ESOC MOIIT services e.g. ESOC operational networks, baselines etc... Tasks and Responsibilities The job holder will be part of the Sentinels Data Hub Operations Team, and will be involved in the Operational activities for monitoring and maintaining the Sentinels Rolling Archive data dissemination Service. The service provides Sentinel1, Sentinel2, Sentinel3 and Sentinel5P products to end users according to the levels of service agreed with the European Space Agency. Main tasks are To Support to testing and verification activities. To Execution of regular maintenance activities.
