Junior Satellite Systems Engineer for Spacecraft Data Bases Deadline for applications ASAP Job Description For our client we are looking for a Junior Satellite Systems Engineer for Spacecraft Data Bases for their location in Bremen, Germany. Tasks and Responsibilities In interaction with the satellite and operations team, to identify the data to be entered in the data bases To populate the SRDB with the selected data To track the validation of the SRDB data To assist the satellite and operations team using SRDB and its products To participate in improvement of the utilization of the SRDB The SRDBs contain TMTC definitions and produces the MIB exports and software files for operating the spacecraft. Working closely with the SRDB enables an indepth understanding of the functions and operations of the spacecraft and provide a good entry point for satellite systems engineering. Requirements Degree in Informatics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering or comparable qualification Fluent in written and spoken English Experience with data bases Good communication skills Fast learner with a good technical understanding Work accurately, carefully and independently. You will have an opportunity to work with our customer in the area of Spacecraft subsystems operations and be part of our spacecraft operations engineering team working at the customer premises enabling fast paced space operations. This role will include, but will not be limited to the following responsibilities Flight Operations Procedures FOP preparation Writing of procedures Adapt procedures to new databases and procedures delivered by industry Define validation scenarios FOP validation, testing, result reporting Preparation of and participation in SVTs and simulations Test and validation of operational items like CSIM, ASW, ODB, SCCF, MOIS Participation in and provision of training spacecraft subsystems, Ops tools, Ops concepts Anomaly Reports handling writing, action processing, support of review boards Routine operations Support including the provision of oncall support Support of routine, special and contingency operations during PF Commissioning, Offline analysis of the subsystem performance This service request support shall cover different subsystems engineering areas of expertise. Qualifications Experience Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering or any other related area Some years of experience in the spacecraft operations Experience in Earth Observation or Sentinels missions will be a big plus.
