ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Spacecraft Engineer, Payload Subsystem will part of the team in charge of Payload Engineering, spacecraft inorbit operations and performance monitoring, as well as support to spacecraft planning, design and procurement for the GEO andor MEO Fleet. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULTS AREAS Monitor health status and provide oncall support for satellites in operation, including recovery and followup of eventual spacecraft offlimit conditions, anomalies and service interruptions Ensure Customer satisfaction in line with SLA terms and maximize satellite fleet availability and longevity Support procedure development of payload mission of the current and upcoming satellites. Ensure lessons learned are applied. Develop and maintain new integrated payload applications and tools required for performance monitoring, operation automation, resource optimization and constellation performance Act as Payload expert for other people in SES Group and to satellite users pertaining to satellite performance. Support endtoend design solutions. Requires a thorough understanding of endtoend communications link budgets and infrastructure Support and prepare for spacecraft anomalies and contingency operations, including new operational solutions, for contingency operations at spacecraft and fleet level Support Payload mission, operations and phasing of the MEO satellites into constellation. Able to identify problems, perform root cause analysis and implement appropriate solutions in a timely manner. Detail orientated and able to work using own initiative with limited supervision, as well as alongside other team members. An effective English language communicator at all levels with skills to CEFR Level B2 Independent User or TOEIC 700.
