The ICT User Support Engineer will have as a minimum the following responsibilities Installconfigureadministrate desktop and notebook systems hardware and operating system MS Windows Installconfigureadministrate standard corporate office applications Maintain, administer and support remote access devices e.g. iPhones, VPN tokens Administer user accounts, manage user permissions Provide first and second level user and technical support, particularly in the area of standard desktop applications Windows 7, MS Office , Visio, etc Contribute to the preparation of IT Information on the Intranet and Training Material including presentations viewgraphs, demonstrations and online training as well as provide coaching and training to IT Users Act as an interface between 1st level support and the 2nd level engineers responsible for the backend systems. Provide support to upgrade and enhancement Projects Plan and perform rollouts of new Software Provide support to VIP users Provide support for WebEx and Videoconferences The IT User and Technical Support Consultant is required to have as a minimum Customer focus and service orientation as well as highly effective interpersonal skills in dealing with demanding customers under high workload Extensive knowledge of and experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of MS Windows 7, MS Office, Visio, MS Project and Internet Explorer Experience in the installation and maintenance of mobile computing solutions e.g. VPN access, Notebooks, Remote Access, iPhones, WebEx Extensive experience in end user support in general. Experience in performing user administration in MS Active Directory Knowledge of Outlook configuration and administration and troubleshooting in an MS exchange environment Able to work effectively in English and have knowledge of French EU national or valid work permit for Germany CV in Europass editable format In addition, the following knowledge shall be considered an advantage Experience in hardware installation, maintenance and troubleshooting desktop PC, notebooks, network printers, scanners Experience in a structured, ISO 9000 certified andor ITIL based information technology service environment Professional certification as MCP Windows 7 or any other professional certifications e.g. MCP MS Office, etc. Experience in using software distribution systems e.g. Novell ZENworks, MS SCCM Experience in providing support for Document Management Software Experience in providing 1st level support for SAP German would be advantageous in contacting local companies

It is foreseen, that the key tasks will include as a minimum Interact with business users to understand their underlying needs and identify if an IT system would be suitable to meet their needs Collaborate with business users to understand their processes, suggest process improvements where possible and extract and define end user requirements Cooperate with the Information Management IM team in the Process Assurance and Management Support Division PRS, in particular when processes are assessed and addressed Document resulting processes in cooperation with the PRS IM team and end user requirements in suitable formats, e.g in process diagrams, use cases, wire frames or requirements specifications, etc Support the implementation team in defining the related technical requirements Facilitate business user interactions during implementation projects to ensure the solutions meet their needs Initiate and facilitate the acceptance and roll out phases of the system and subsequent pilot phases including preparation of user manuals or similar and delivering training to business users. Mandatory skills University degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent Extensive experience in eliciting and documenting end user requirements Extensive experience in analysing business processes, developevolve business processes in collaboration with business users and document them in suitable formats Handson experience of electronic workflow systems for managing information andor document management systems Experience in facilitating large and heterogeneous groups resulting in actionable outcomes Experience in preparing technical requirement specifications Experience in supporting acceptance and roll out activities for IT systems Experience in preparing user manuals or similar and deliver training for IT systems Good understanding of Information Management concepts and in particular document management principles and the related requirements Highly self motivated with a high level of autonomy in working arrangements and the ability to apply initiative and creativity in the execution of tasks Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to learn, able to work as part of a team and displaying a strong customeroriented approach to interact with EUMETSAT personnel. MTG User Preparation Support 1513110 Job Description We are looking for a MTG User Preparation Support Engineer to support our client EUMETSAT. You will be part of the MTG User Preparation team. Your responsibilities will include Maintain the MTG User Preparation Project plan and associated documentation and schedule related activities Collect and collate project inputs from all internal stakeholders, in particular those parts of the Remote Sensing and Products RSP Division providing the scientific development support for the MTG Programme and the teams within the Geostationary Programme Division GEO responsible for providing the operational Level 1 and Level 2 processors Arrange and attend regular MTG User Preparation Project team meetings and prepare meeting reports as required Record and monitor any open actions associated with the MTG User Preparation Project Prepare inputs to management reports on the status of the MTG User Preparation Project Keep abreast of guidelines issued by the WMO regarding user readiness activities for next generation satellites and prepare inputs and followup actions as required. You will also support the preparation activities, such as Support external coordination and user engagement activities for MTG user preparation, e.g. supporting RSP workshops, preparing and collating results from user surveys, etc. Support the Web Content Developers in the preparation of content for the MTG user information area on the EUMETSAT website Support the Training Team with updated information on the status of the MTG User Preparation Project for inclusion in training events. Required Skills and Experience In addition to having a university degree in relevant discipline, preferably in remote sensing, meteorology or environmental sciences, you will have at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the following areas Proven experience in project coordination or a project management role An ability to relate to user groups of remotely sensed data and products Experience in remote sensing related to meteorological observation needs Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience in preparing and maintaining information for users Experience in using project planning tools like MS Project or similar Experience of working in partnership across organisational boundaries. Desirable Skills and Experience Your experience in the following would be a distinct advantage Supporting previous user preparation activities in the Earth Observation arena Working with the meteorological user community, in particular national weather services Appreciation of the whole processing chain from satellite data sensing to use of a product.
