Position Reference 789 On behalf of ESA, we are currently looking for a Communication Systems Technologies Engineer to work in its Site ESTEC in the city of Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The key person will provide support to the Agency projects and programs in the area of security, including system security analysis, design and associated tools. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Cover all aspects related to the analysis and design of the security of the end to end system, including concepts, architecture, ground, space and hybrid groundspace systems and subsystems, methodologies, standards and all associated tools for simulations and analysis. System security requirements definition and implementation, vulnerability and threat assessment, security engineering process lifecycle. Security technology, techniques design, and prototyping covering all technologies related to the implementation of security, InfoSEC, COMSEC, CyberSec, Appsec engineering. Security accreditation and certification methodologies and processes. Security requirements derivation, design, implementation and verification from an accreditation perspective. Project Risk analysis and assessment, supporting toolsets, accreditation processes and methodologies, security standards. Specific RF security technologies, e.g. telecom security techniques and technologies, secure TTC and PDT links, radio navigation security technology, RF system security etc. Provide support to projects for the implementation of security inside the systems, performsupport end to end security engineering, follow up security elements requirements derivation, design, implementation and verification. Provide support to project InfosecCyber security and accreditation engineering, such as To performsupport project security risk analysis, vulnerability assessment during the life cycle of the project To define specific project security, certification and accreditation security requirements HL SSRS SISRSSecops. Provide support to projects and TEC for the implementation of the security directives policy, roles and functions PSSO, etc. such as to Support and act as competent PSSOISOSOZ5 and other security roles as for the ESA Security Regulation. Support awareness and training campaign on security processpolicies and procedures. Contribute to the Agencys RD strategy and research programs elaboration and implementation. Support to standardisation bodies in the field of competence. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters degree in telecommunications and signal processing or electronic engineering, as well as experience in these fields. At lest 4 years of relevant working experience. Specific knowledge in the security engineering. Knowledge of space and ground systems architecture. Languages skills Fluent English both written and spoken. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. ESTRACK Station Engineer

Position Reference 786 We are currently looking for an experienced engineer to join the ESTRACK Engineering Service team, based at ESOC, in Darmstadt, Germany. ESTRACK is the ESA Tracking Network of global ground stations, comprising a wide array of antenna types, i.e. for deepspace and LEO satellite communications. The facilities within ESTRACK require operations engineering services as provided by Station Maintenance and Operations Engineers SMOE who are assigned to a ground station facility asset. Station Maintenance and Operations Engineers are responsible for providing engineering services required for their assigned facility asset for preparing and maintaining associated antenna facilities during preparation of new support to mission and execution flying phase. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Definition of mission specific ground station configuration in the operations preparation phase and after major modifications. Supporting MC tailoring for any new mission ESA and external Agencies. Validation of station configuration and MC for remote operations. Generation of station and related operational configuration of mission specific documentation e.g. Network Configuration Document, Remote and local Procedures, training material during the life time of the mission. Investigations of anomalies incidents analysis and problem management affecting the Ground station services to any supported mission. Supporting regular meetings with the Ground Station MO team and ESA management.
