With increasing size and anticipated growth, we are looking for a Ground Segment Engineer focus on Ground Stations to be integrated in our team located in Noordwijk NL JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a crosstrained Senior System Engineer with Management skills able to face new challenges and grasp new concepts quickly. The applicant should have experience in Satellite Ground Segment Projects and Ground Station Engineering. Proven capacity for being the interface with customers and subcontractorssuppliers. Heshe will be involved in Ground Segment System Engineering activities with special focus on Navigation satellites high level architecture and interfaces definition, stateofthe art and tradeoffs and analysis,. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Providing systems engineering expertise for the definition, development and qualification of satellite ground stations. Management and execution of project activities in accordance with their declared objectives, schedule and cost Maintain System Level View and understanding. Preparation of documentation specifications, architecture document, detailed design document, design justification file, interface control documents, stateoftheart and tradeoff analysis Involvement in technical reviews with suppliers and customer along the project life cycle. Being responsible for the delivery of the technical outputs of the assign projects Required Skills Theoretical and practical experience in Satellite Communications, Satellite Navigation andor Ground Stations Engineering Knowledge of System Engineering methodologies with application to the SatelliteAerospatiale environment. Experience in the relationship with customers and subcontractors Experience in the preparation of documentation, system interfaces definition and system verification validation activities Additional SkillsKnowledge Knowledge and experience in software tools related with System Engineering and Requirement Management. Knowledge about communication protocols and security. Knowledge of the Galileo Project will be an asset. Competences Selfmotivation Ability to work as part of a team Proactivity Initiative Willing to face new challenges Ability to grasp new concepts quickly Experience Between 35 years of experience Able to work independently and in a trusted and precise manner with attention to details Experience in ESA projects and working in multidisciplinary work teams. Languages Fluency in English is mandatory, other languages would be an advantage Other Requirements Preference will be given to candidates in possession of eligible for an EU or national security clearance at the level of SECRET or above. He she will execute proactively all necessary simulations and consolidate all results obtained. He she will secure his her FW deliverables through wise unit testing coverage. He she will define the test plans and procedures to fulfill the FPGA core verification. He she might support business development activities in drafting highlevel technical architecture meeting customer highlevel objectives issued through RFP. He she might participate to conferences and sometimes present technical achievements. Qualifications and Experience Master PhD in Electronics or equivalent through experience. Expertise with Digital Communication Systems e.g. Modulator, Demodulator, UpDown Sampling, Decimator, Interpolator, Filtering, EncodingDecoding, ADC DAC, PCIe, LVDS, etc. Indepth knowledge in VLSI design and proven working experience with Altera Intel and Xilinx FPGAs within corresponding proprietary development environment. Linux kernel device driver development skills is an asset. Technical leadership. Ability to write technical documentation. Motivated, team player, dynamic, sense of ownership and commitment. He she might participate to conferences and sometimes present technical achievements. Qualifications and Experience Master PhD in Electronics or equivalent through experience. Highly skilled with RF functions mixers, oscillators, filters, hybrids, amplifiers, waveguides, etc. schematics design, PCB layout, testing and boardlevel troubleshooting up to 40 GHz KaBand. Accustomed with RF measurement equipment e.g. scope, spectrum analyzer. Technical leadership. Ability to write technical documentation.
