Software Build and Deployment Engineer mfd

Terma is looking for 2 engineers for building and deploying software on IT systems for our customer EUMETSAT. The Generic Infrastructure and Systems Division GSI which is part of the Technical and Scientific Support Department TSS takes care of the maintenance and further development of the complete operational ground segment computer infrastructure. This infrastructure includes computers, Storage Area Networks, local network equipment, widearea networks and all the software that is needed to run EUMETSATs satellites missions on a 24x7 basis. Currently all levels of system administration support for these systems are provided by Computer and Storage Management CSM. The increasing robustness of standardized hardware and Commercial OfftheShelf Software COTS components and the consolidation of the market have led to a situation where corrective and preventive maintenance tasks can be carried out using industry standard procedures and best practices. Responsibilities Building, packaging and deployment of software and data releases and patches Support to developers with respect to build and versioning strategies Analysis of the maintenance requirements and identification, implementation of the tools to fulfil them contributing to creation and updating maintenance procedures Maintenance of the development tools, such as compilers, libraries, etc. Maintenance of continuous integration tools and source code repositories Support of software developers in the area of system programming and interface definition. Interface to COTS support and maintenance providers Participation in the daily Mission Operations coordination meetings Participation in the regular anomaly review boards. Generation or update of technical documentation This is a full time position, located in Darmstadt, Germany, starting 1st of April 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. Qualifications Competencies Each member of the team of 2 shall have a university degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and the full team shall cover the following skills and experience.
