Due to organic growth, we are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer who wants to use their Management skills or to progress into Management as a career path. You will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer from the Space Aircraft Automotive background and have wideranging and indepth client facing skills. You will be joining a small multicultural team 10, who are looking forwards into moving to a new state of the art building and Engineering offices. This team is part of a larger section 40 made up of Mechanical, Propulsion and Thermal professionals. As a Mechanical Architect Engineer Lead you will regularly manage the daytoday progress of project team. These teams will be 210 people and will include Thermal and Propulsion Architects and Mechanical Analysts. You will be also working as part of project teams 10200 depending on the project you work on. The Space focused projects you will be working on will have a 45 year life cycle. These projects include working with ESA EO Earth observation and science missions to other planets. As a Mechanical Architect, you will be working with the latest tools, 3DEXPERIENCE, FEMAP, DOORS and inhouse Airbus tools that have been developed to provide a range of exciting technical solutions. Tasks accountabilities Mechanical Architect leads the Mechanical test team and liaises with teams of different disciplines Responsible for the spacecraft structure subsystem throughout its design, build, test and launch Demonstrate verification to requirements throughout the life cycle of the project Robust knowledge of lightweight aerospace structures, tools and materials to deliver structural concept and ultimately design verification Knowledge of dynamic test of structural designs to show it is fit for purpose. Manage Structural Dynamic Analyst and interpret FEM data other tools are considered Broad, and indepth, experience in developing customer internal external relationships An interest in leading a small Project team 210 Responsible for structure subcontractor manufacturer Responsible for mechanical qualification of sub systems including payloads This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Companys success, reputation and sustainable growth. Required skills Management of the Satellite Accommodation Structure verification, Mechanical subsystems including structure and mechanism both in house and sub contract. Team management of Thermal and Propulsion Architects plus Dynamic Analyst and Design Office personnel. You will give guidance and support to the Design Office in order to create 3D models, drawings and documents for satellite integration. Preparation evaluation of test plans and reports. Supervision of the mechanical analysis team during satellite level environmental testing, including liaison to customer, launch service provider, test facilities and project management. Schedule and cost control using company software. Organisation of in house and subcontract costs. This role comes with travel typically once a month, mainly European and some worldwide travel. Providing good engineering design support on bids, studies project work. Liaising with internal external customers in the product groups business units. Liaising with stress, thermal mechanical subsystem groups having a good appreciation of their work. Carrying out DMU design accommodation activities given a detailed toplevel requirement specification with little or no guidance. Responsible for the creation, control, correctness accuracy of all drawings, models, Digital Mock UP DMU, bills of materials engineering change notes as related to the configured items for allocated projects to cost schedule. Ensuring all outputs from the Mechanical Design Office MDO is correct to the project requirements as stated by the core team generally the Mechanical ArchitectResponsible Engineer. All the project DO outputs must be checked, signed stamped by the MDO lead design engineer to the checklists CATIA procedures. Administering the release of drawings, BOMs ECOs related to the allocated project. Lead Systems Engineer

Blue Skies Space is looking to hire a lead systems engineer for its first project Twinkle. This person will lead engineering acitivites for Blue Skies as we start the procurement of a 350kg science satellite from Industry. As well as supporting the recruitment to build up the Blue Skies engineering team, this person will manage engineering acitviites in our suppliers as they develop the Twinkle concept. We are just starting Phase B1 of the Twinkle project, with launch planned at the end of 2022. The current phase A design needs to be industrialised, selecting low risk, high heritage components to deliver the overall mission requirements. We are loking for an experienced systems engineer who can lead activities on both instrument and platform. The goal for the next 9 months is to progress the design to the point at which we can obtain firm fixed price offers from industry to deliver our satellite to a 36 month schedule.
