Viscose prices have slightly bottomed out in the past week in China after heavily falling in March. A series of VSF facilities have been shut down for limiting losses and supporting prices whereas inventories have fallen at spinning mills. Viscose spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan are also available. Cotton linter, cotton pulp and wood pulp prices on domestic and import markets are being tracked over the last 12 months, in addition.

Polyester prices have stayed unchanged in the last seven days in China, although raw material costs have clearly dropped, therefore offering larger margins to fiber plants. Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

MEG prices have begun heavily falling in Asia and could continue dropping in the coming weeks due to long-term structural trends. PTA prices are bottoming out by contrast, in line with a very strong demand from polyester producers in China and a fall of production levels due to a series of maintenance operations.
