Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)
2019-03-06 18:26:28| EmergingTextiles.com
PTA and MEG prices have clearly recovered in the last two trading days in Asia, as producers try to raise their margins after they have been reduced by a jump of paraxylene and ethylene prices, respectively. The polyester chain looks ready to lower its operating rates, if needed, in order to avoid any new fall of its margins. Polyester producers could follow their example. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.
