Polyester chain prices have been more stable in the last week, with PTA prices supported by lower operating rates and MEG further falling, however. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Eastern Asia and in India, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Google Fiber eyed for three more cities

Google's crusade to light up U.S. cities with gigabit speed Google Fiber has expanded to potentially include Oklahoma City and Jacksonville and Tampa, Florida. In a blog posted Wednesday, Google said it invited the capital city of Oklahoma and the two Florida cities to "explore" bringing faster fiber to their communities.

Comcast announces expansion of fiber network at CenterPoint

Comcast officials announced Thursday that the business has expanded its fiber network throughout CenterPoint Commerce and Trade Park in Pittston and Jenkins townships. They would not say how much was spent on the investment, but they said it was seven figures and the largest fiber expansion of its kind in the region.
