Dissemination Operations Engineer MF Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has been supporting the European Space Industry for over 30 years, including ESA, DLR, EUMETSAT and CNES. This is an opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to work for our EUMETSAT customer within a new and interesting space mission. Sentinel3 is a Low Earth Orbiting mission in the context of the Copernicus Services set up by the European Commission. The first satellite, Sentinel3A, is expected to launch mid2015 with the second satellite Sentinel3B operating in tandem and due for launch 18 months later. EUMETSATs monitors and controls Sentinel 3 satellites and generates near realtime and offline products to support the marine user community. Telespazio VEGA offers a permanent position based in EUMETSAT, Darmstadt, Germany with an starting date in May 2015. Application closing deadline is February 25th, 2015. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES As a member of the Realtime Services System Operations Division RSO, the Engineer shall provide support to the routine monitoring, development and operation of the Copernicus S3 dissemination systems. The duties range from the support to the operation of the various dissemination components, to the analysis, testing, and implementation of new data streams and monitoring and reporting functions. It also includes the settingup and implementation of operational procedures, and the coordination with external organization and service providers.
