This is a permanent position, calling for experience of realtime data dissemination systems. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for an initial period of two years with a probable further two years work there. Candidates should ideally be available to start in May. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The main working language is English. As a member of a Realtime Services and System Operations Division, you will provide support to the routine monitoring, development and operation of current and future data dissemination systems. The duties range from the support to the operation of the various dissemination components, to the analysis, testing, and implementation of new data streams and monitoring and reporting functions. The role also includes the settingup and implementation of operational procedures, and coordination with external organisations and service providers.
