Position Reference 105 You will have the opportunity to provide engineering support in preparation of test plans, procedures and test sequences for Satellite sytems testing during ambient and environmental test campaigns and preparing, debugging and executing complex test sequences on flight spacecrafts and test benches. Moreover, you will be responsible for writing test reports and supporting test and nonconformance reviews. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Interpretation of electrical and functional test requirements from test specifications Provide test solutions to meet the test specification requirements, from planning and kickoff meeting, through test sequence coding, procedure preparation and debug to execution. Close out tests with Post Test Review and Test Report To provide technical inputs to project test reviews Test Readiness Reviews, Post Test Reviews, Test Review Boards and Non Conformance Review Boards Development and debug of Automatic Test procedures ATP using a bespoke high level SW language Open Center checkout system based on the Elisa langauge to test the spacecraft systems Preparing and executing spacecraft system investigations in line with actions from Non Conformance Review Boards NRBs. Support Spacecraft systems functional and perfomance tests during environmental test in Munich, Germany Reference test, TVAC, Magnetic, EMC, functional and performance tests and potentially launch activities in Florida. Work to company and departmental procedures and maintain adherence to EN 9001 Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a degree in an Electrical Engineering related discipline or have at least 5 years relevant experience in a similar role. You have current handson experience of writing test sequencesscripts for execution of spacecraft tests from the Central Checkout System CCS. Knowledge of Elisa andor Open Center would be an advantage. You have working knowledge of TMTC Databases. You will be responsible for integration and verification testing primarily of spacecraft Mission Control Systems MCS software. Mission Control Systems are the primary tool used by satellite operators for monitoring and controlling spacecraft. The position includes integration and verification testing of other spacerelated ground segment elements such as Flight Dynamics and Mission Planning Systems. In addition to preparing and executing application software test procedures, the work requires good technical skills such as the ability to debug software, install and deploy complex software applications, and to develop automated test scripts. Responsibilities As a Software Integration and Verification Engineer, your tasks will typically include Integration of the various components of a MCS. This includes building new software versions, software installation and deployment, software configuration, adjustment of interfaces, analysis and solution to problems. Generation and updates of test plans and test procedures, covering functional testing, performance and nonregression testing both manual and automated testing. Generation of test data that facilitate the software testing. Execution and coordination of formal software verification and nonregression testing campaigns. This activity includes running the test procedures on the target system, generation of test reports, analysis of results, troubleshooting of problems. Contribute, with the support of software developers, to the investigation of software problems, interacting with users such as mission control system operators when needed to understand the problems. Followup reported problems to ensure that they are handled correctly by the maintenance teams, and that the provided changes correctly resolve the problem. Contribute to development of the verification infrastructure development of scripts tools to perform installation checks, nonregression, functional and performance testing. Analysis and implementation of mechanisms or tools allowing the automatic or semiautomatic verification testing of the application software. Maintaining the verification status of the application software traced to the requirements baseline. Documentation generation and updates of technical documents, such as installation manuals, user manuals and test reports. Provide support to end users of the MCS, including customer support. Qualifications Competencies Applicants shall have a university degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similar.
