We are looking for an ambitious engineer, who wants to take a challenge and is willing to contribute to our excellent team onsite our customer EUMETSAT. The tasks will generally cover the routine operations of the EPS MetOp Spacecrafts and its different instruments as well as the operations preparation of the upcoming EPSSG MetOpSG Spacecraft. Responsibilities Duties Support the routine operations of the EPS MetOp satellites. Provision of operational expertise to the relevant system andor platform and instrument. Maintain the corresponding operations documentation and flight procedures. Perform trending and performance analysis on the corresponding subsystems and instruments. Investigation into satellite anomalies. Participation in satellite oncall support rota. Identification and support to the implementation of system and process improvements concerning the spacecraft operations team responsibilities. Support the systems and operations preparation of EPSSG MetOpSG satellite. Support the system and operations preparation of other LEO satellites. Qualifications Experience University degree in the domain of engineering, physics, or equivalent. Some experience in operations preparation and routine operations of satellite systems and subsystems preferably LEO are an asset. Desirable Skills Knowledge and experience with CHART are an asset, Knowledge of the SCOS2000 Mission Control System are an assest as well as knowledge of database and OBSM management. Sound knowledge and experience in Multimedia edition Videos production, postproduction, image processing, CAD design, web 2.0, JavaScript, augmented reality, Proficiency in the use of Linux, Windows and iOS. Excellent organisation skills for projects execution and associated documentation. Fluency in English and Spanish. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in Spain without the need to obtain a work visa. Only European Union EU, European Economic Area EEA and SWISScitizens can be employed by Aurora in Spain. Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. In line with ESAs security requirements, prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident, and Aurora will validate your employment history. Location It is expected that the work will be performed at the ESAC, the European Space Astronomy Centre at Villafranca del Castillo, near Madrid Spain. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line withESA Job Class specified as E2. You will be registered for both social security and tax in Spain. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday.
