DUTIES The postholder will initially be assigned to the CryoSat2 Flight Control Team as operations engineer and will report to the CryoSat2 Spacecraft Operations Manager SOM. Tasks will include the following Assisting the SOM as deputy in the preparation and execution of the CryoSat2 operations, including extended routine and end of mission phases Assisting the SOM in the evolution and validation of the Flight Operations Segment FOS, including internal and external interfaces Planning and execution of routine and special operation, including mission planning, reporting, anomaly investigation and resolution Analysing and reporting on spacecraft and ground segment longterm analysis and behaviour performance Interfacing with the ESRIN Mission Management and Payload Data Ground Segment for mission and ground segment related activities Interfacing with industry and ESTEC specialists regarding technical matters, including changes to spacecraft design and operations documentation and performance reports Interfacing with other ESOC divisions regarding spacecraft operations matters Providing support to the SOM in the reviews and preparations of other Earth Observation Missions delegated to the Earth Observation Missions Division i.e. Earth ExplorersGMES Sentinels. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants for this post should have a university degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or physics, together with good professional experience in spacecraft andor operational applications. Candidates should be systemminded, be able to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, be selfmotivateddisciplined and resultsoriented. Experience with both Platform and Payload Operations is highly desirable. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these two languages is required together with a working knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of another member state language is an asset.
