(Telecompaper) The number of fixed broadband subscribers in the world rose 2.5 percent year-on-year in the second quarter, its highest growth in the past six quarters, according to the latest study from Point Topic, presented by Broadband Forum at the Broadband World Forum 2018. The number of subscribers reached 983 million at the end of June, with most new clients coming from less developed regions and countries. More developed and saturated markets with lower growth focused on improving offerings.

EC clears Microsoft's USD 7.5 bln GitHub buy

Twilio to buy email API platform SendGrid in USD 2 bln deal

(Telecompaper) Cloud communications provider Twilio has announced a deal to acquire email API platform SendGrid in an all-stock transaction valued at around USD 2 billion. Twilio said it will offer 0.485 share of its stock for each SendGrid Class A common share, equating to about USD 36.92 per share.
