Serco currently have a team in place to provide a range of IT services for a major European Organisation, both on and off site in the domain of support to the full lifecycle of Workplace services including the provisioning of hardware, software and support to all daily activities. The work is divided into Front and Back Office services and is located at multiple sites across Europe in Italy, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain and Germany. We are seeking, for a Back Office post in Frascati near Rome, Italy which will be either on site with our client or on Serco premises, a Technical Architect Senior Administrator. Responsibilities The candidate shall maintain vision of budget elements under their responsibility and interface with commercial, procurement services. The candidate shall provide reporting to senior management when required. The candidate shall create a of dashboard reporting and specific presentations The candidate must be able to validate High Level Design, Low Level Design and Configuration Build and Test plans The candidate must be able to actively participate to solutions design The candidate will be responsible for the creation and update of technical specifications and be knowledgeable about ITIL processes and procedures The candidate will be responsible for the ongoing evolution of environment under CSIP activities. For this position we require a technical lead in transformation of an AsIs environment to a designed ToBe environment. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Design of chemical propulsion system architecture concepts. Analysis of propulsion system performance at sub system and system level for both commercial telecoms and ESA satellite programmes. You will be required to generate propulsion system specifications and perform propulsion design, performance and analysis for chemical propulsion systems. As such you will be accountable for review and approval of the AsBuilt and its compliance with the AsDesign standard, including review and acceptance of equipmentsubsystem test results, review of end item data packs and final technical acceptance of propulsion subsystem and justification to the end satellite customer. You will be responsible to develop and implement department toolsprocess improvement strategy in conjunction with objectives defined by management. As the Work Area Manager WAM for a given project you will be responsible for Onquality, OnTime and On Cost of the propulsion subsystem. In addition you will be responsible for spacecraft flight operations monitoring. You will be involved in tasks such as specifications of onground data processing chains definition of their interfaces definition of space to ground data flows verification and validation of onground data processing chains for imaging and sounding instruments The coordination with different teams involved in these activities plays a key role given the interdisciplinary nature of endtoend instrument chains. Your activities as System Architect will be related to overall System aspects for endtoend instrument functional chains, i.e. involving the space segment satellites as well as the ground segment, the latter consisting of the data acquisition systems, monitoring and control systems, data processing chains and product dissemination facilities. You will be a member of the EPSSG System Team in the Low Earth Orbit Division LEO at EUMETSAT. Responsibilities In the frame of endtoend instrument functional chain activities, you, as part of the EPSSG System Team, will provide support for tasks related to specifications of onground data processing chains, definition of their interfaces, definition of space to ground data flows, verification and validation of onground data processing chains for imaging and sounding instruments. A major part of the work will be to followup and assess the outcome of the ongoing activities done by different groups in the EPSSG team EPSSG system team, EPSSG instrument team, EPSSG science team and EPSSG ground segment team, and ensure that all the interdisciplinary activities are done in a systematic way, compatible with the EPSSG programme objectives and constraints.
