Description The main tasks are AIT for completely integrated Mechanical, Thermal Propulsion MTP subsystems for the ExoMars 2016 project Preparation of mechanical assembly and integration procedures Mechanical assembly and integration of structural items Central Tube, Panels, Support Structure by means of fasteners Assembly and integration of thermal items heaters, sensors, and harness support standoffs, tiebase, by means of gluing Routing and integration of harness by means of tiewrap on SC Assembly and integration of other satellite subsystems parts, e.g. electrical hardware Preparation of test specification and procedures, test report generation Operation of MGSE integration stand, hoisting device, crane, containers, Profile Needed qualifications A degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace technology, physics or comparable qualification At least three years of experience in the satellite AIT and test field Certification ideally ESA for harness manufacturing and integration Knowledge of ECSS Standards for Mechanical, Thermal and Harness Engineering Experience in working with mechanical tool kits and MGSE Experience in mechanical assembly of satellite structures Willingness to travel and perform activities in external facilities throughout Europe Harness and Thermal Control Electrical Testing High motivation and commitment to the project Used to tough project targets and challenges Welldeveloped communication skills and hands onmentality Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and able to work under time pressure Fluency in spoken and written English EU citizenship or valid EU work permit Location Bremen, Germany Application deadline 10052013 Estimated star date and Duration asap, 6 months contract If you are interested, please send your EUROPASS format CV as well as a Cover Letter to Lena Englander, Recruitment Manager at careeropportunitiesrheagroup.com Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information. Spacecraft Operations Engineer subsystems

This is an opportunity for several motivated and experienced engineers, to work for the ongoing satellite mission SatCOMBw starting October 2013. Responsibilities Duties Day to day monitoring and analysis of the assigned subsystem performance and health status assessment, including anomaly investigation, tracking followup Preparation, validation and execution of special operations e.g. maneuvers, eclipses, in flight testing, simulations etc. Configuration and validation of ground segment systems Preparing, validating and maintaining of spacecraft operation procedures Support for simulators, databases and encryption devices. Qualifications Experience University or similar degree in aerospace, electronics or physics Minimum of 2 years experiences with operational aspects of satellites. Essential Skills Practical experience with at least one of the following satellite subsystems AOCS Propulsion Data Handling Telemetry, Command and Ranging Power Thermal Repeater Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows OS Monitoring and Control Systems SCOS, SATMON FramePacketConverter FPC and CortexSCOSGateway CSG English and German, both in speech and writing Able to interface with technical and management personnel, proactive and confident personality. You must be eligible to live and work in the EU, the acquisition of a security clearance is mandatory for this position.
