Senior Manager, Fleet Development Betzdorf Luxembourg or Washington DC USA In this role you are responsible for contributing to the multiyear planning and development of the SES global GEOMEO satellite fleet including its supporting ground infrastructure. You play an active role in ensuring the rollout of the global fleet, determines and prioritizes future satellite procurements and you are responsible for leading a crossfunctional team to develop the design and corresponding business case for individually assigned future satellite procurements. Once requirements are established you lead the development of the corresponding business case, work in close coordination with the Procurement Planning group in the development and issue of RFP, negotiate with vendors, contract award as well as remain engaged throughout the construction period regarding any items that may impact the overall business case. In addition, as the fleet strategy considers optimisations of the fleet in maintenance of spectrum assets to generate new commercial opportunities, you assess alternatives for the redeployment of existing SES assets and or third party assets by managing cross functional teams Spectrum, Sales, Product Development, Sales Engineering, Corporate Strategy, Technology, Finance, Legal and Regulatory and provide an overview of the financial impact positive or negative to the organization and develops the necessary ExComm approval documents where necessary. To be effective in this role, you must possess the soft and hard skills required to manage multi disciplinary teams and develop a high level understanding of the issues and drivers behind each of the functional roles. Your Role Annually refresh the SES Global GEOMEO Fleet Plan and deliver maximum enterprise value and return of asset investment in case of redeployment for GEO and replacement options.
