Communication Assistant Key Tasks and Responsibilities The position holder will provide support to the Outreach Communication Unit at ESTEC, heshe will Support requests from European exhibitions organizers and internal customers related to satellite models, displays and mockups. Keep internal database uptodate. Work closely with transport office and the corporate exhibition team Publish announcements on the ESTEC information screens Organise maintain and publish a flow of information on the ESTEC intranet page by identifying articles and liaise with the editors and the corporate intranet editor Identify and organize topics and speakers for ESTEC lectures and internal events, including launch events Assist the general activities of the ESTEC Communication Office, in particular the Dutch, Belgian and Estonian country desks, including the organisation of media visits and interviews Assist in maintaining a dedicated media and VIP management database Convento and work with the Meltwatermedia survey platform Assist in preparing reports on communication activities and produce statistics on media coverage, including social media Support other administrative or organisational tasks related to Office Management, such as reception and general enquiries, stock keeping of publications and promotional items, leave management, visitor bookings, IT requests CURSA, etc. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience A bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent experience Relevant professional experience in CommunicationsPublic Relations of at least 2 years Interest in and understanding of ESA Programmes and related activities Experience of working within communications or journalism Very good command of English, both spoken and written. Good command of Dutch Proven ability to develop networks of professional contacts A developed sense for initiative and strong organisational and administrative skills Proficient in the latest versions of Microsoft Office suite and use of databases Experience using CMS or Photoshop andor InDesign is a plus Handson attitude Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
