Assistant Business Unit Controller Key Tasks and Responsibilities Under the authority of the Head of the Cost Centre Control Supporting Services Unit, the candidate will prepare and implement the timesheet planning and control for the workforce of the Directorate of Human Spaceflight and Robotic Exploration and for other cost centre control related tasks as specified below Ensure that the monthly manpower bookings by all staff into the timesheet recording tools are complete by the given deadline and compatible with the manpower deployment plan Follow up the nontimely delivery of manpower bookings through a defined escalation process Initiate and follow up a defined correction process in case of incorrect timesheet bookings Support the control and reporting processes by Cost Centre and Project Controllers, in particular at yearend and plan revisions during the year Check with the experts in the Business Unit Control Office on the setup and operation of the required software tools for planning and accounting of the timesheet information Perform periodic checks on the submitted timesheets for formal correctness and compliance with the plan and report anomalies Support the migration of the timesheet data from legacy tools to the new corporate software tools, ensuring consistency, coherence and completeness of all migrated data. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Business Administration Many years of relevant experience Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree Bachelor from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or Communications as relevant, with typically 4 years of relevant experience Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken. Experience in the field of controlling of resources and activities andor financeaccounting, at administrator level andor assistant level. Familiarity with budgeting, accounting, procurements at ESA is an asset. Adequate level of experience in the field of business administration, controlling of resources and activities, andor accounting at administrator level andor assistant level. Good sense of organisation of work, rigor, accuracy and reliability in the execution of the assigned tasks. Ability to handle high volume of numerical data in an accurate manner, analyse them, and produce synthetic reports. Highly proficient in the use of modern activities and resource management support toolsdatabases of standard office automation support software packages including in particular advance usage of Excel MsOffice and in particular advanced use of Excel. Ability to rapidly understand and adapt to ESA specific context and environment including ESA corporate IT applications. The following skills would be highly desirable Experience as user of SAP and in particular ECC and SRM modules and familiarity with relevant ESA corporate applications e.g. esap is an asset.
