As an Assistant Engineer you will be trained to focus on the development of innovative design solutions answering complexchallenges in a multifunctional context. You will be joining a Project team of up to 5 people who are part of dept of 70 and MDO Group of 20. You will be carrying out a range of Design Activities as required by the Lead Designer. The department is focused on System accommodation and Detailed Design CAD activities for Telecommunication and Observation Satellites. Tasks accountabilities You will be trained to undertake the following Contribute to Spacecraft Mechanical Platform Detailed Design activities and creation of CAD models, Digital Mock Up DMU, manufacturing drawings, bills of materials BOMs and Engineering Change Notes ECNs. Perform all tasks in line with Mechanical Design Office Process documentation and deliver on time on cost and on quality. Control correctness, accuracy and relevance of output using departmental checking procedures. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Companys success, reputation and sustainable growth. Summary An opportunity for an experienced Thermal Engineer to work onsite at ESTEC for Telespazio VEGA UK supporting Thermal Control Section in DTEC. Objective To provide support in thermal engineering design, analysis and verification related to the ESA missions thermal control activities. Experience in thermal design is desired. Responsibilities Duties Duties may include but are not limited to Provide support to the Agency in the thermal engineering design, analysis and verification area related to the sections thermal control activities. Background in analysis methods, numerical analysis, data management and a general knowledge of space thermal engineering. Very good knowledge of Agencys thermal analysis tools, e.g. ESATANTMS, EcoSim Pro, CFDRC, Flow3D. Very good background and experience in thermal modelling and analysis as well as thermal spacecraft design and verification. Very good background and knowledge of spacecraft system aspects. Knowledge of other CAE tools such as IDEASTMG, Thermica. Experience in development of software products. Experience in Cryogenics. Knowledge of the STEPTAS data exchange protocol and software libraries. Proficient in the English Language Spoken and Written. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate.
