Viscose fiber prices in China continue to rise, as the recovery of the market progresses. Tight supply and speculative decisions of manufacturers are driving up prices. Polyester chain prices have remained unchanged in the last week, in line with a stability of crude oil prices. From the last month, June prices have so far mostly declined whereas still far higher than a year earlier. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
