Position Reference 059 RHEA Group is currently recruiting a Data Systems Manager DSM for OPSGD to work at ESOC. The DSM manages Mission Data Systems MDS, which include Mission Control System, Mission Planning System, Operational Simulators, Service Provision Data Centre and Advanced Software Applications. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Development and Maintenance of Mission Data Systems Specification and management of Software Requirements Contractual and technical work for the start of a new MDS project Running the MDS software development and maintenance projects Support the Management and perform ESOC internal activities related to MDS deployment, testing, configuration etc according to ESOC internal processes. Support to Missions critical activities Organisation of Software Support SWS onsite environment preparation Role of Software Coordinator Support to missions during the whole lifetime Review of MIRD and contribution to MIP Definition of external and internal interfaces Contribution to the SFIRD, GSSRD, GSSTP and review of SGICD Support to Ground Segment Reviews Support to regular progress meetings with Project and ESOC team Support SVTSOVTE2E tests and in general FCT activity Support mission closure and retirement of SW and HW items Support to 3rd Party and Special Projects Support the ESA service manager in defining the technical and organisational setup of ESA service, including SLA and costing Interact with ESA external 3rd party entities e.g. EUD, GSA, DLR, NASA, under agreement of TR Support ESA from data systems perspective towards external entities, in particular to recommend agreement on technical and organisational interfaces Coordinate the inhouse and industrial data systems team Interact with companies of new member states in preparation process for new activities Assume the data system architect role for special projects which are not based on reference architecture of ground segments for missions such as SSA, METERON, IAP Contribute to bring OPSGD and Data Systems perspective in collaborative projects with other ESA entities, in the context of special projects and future missions e.g. NAV, TEC, HRE Coordinate the inhouse developments of MDS for small missions Support to study, innovation and standardisation Prepare proposals Run approved studies or innovation works Organise and coordinate joint projects with other agencies in the context of standardisation e.g. interoperability testing, prototyping Support ESA as a member of international Standardisation working groups Other tasks Support tasks at division level Support Quality Management and actively contribute to improve ESOC internal processes and tools. Support to OPSGI infrastructure activities Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have experience with Engineering service in the domain of Service Provision Data Centre or Advanced Software You have experience in development and maintenance of Mission Data Systems You have experience in Service Provision Data Centre and Advanced Software Applications development You have experience with MDS project and documentation You have experience in coordinating and interacting with other service providers in operations and other fields. You are independent in working on own tasks You have a team spirit You are able to interface with several different areaspeople in ESOC You are capable to establish and maintain good working relationships with Industry and FCT You have experience with development and maintenance of big software projects You have experience with requirements management knowledge of tools, e.g. doors You have a good knowledge of ESOC infrastructure Scos2000, SIMSAT, Egos MPS, EGSCC You have a good knowledge of ESOC operational environment You have a good knowledge of Spacecraft especially for the SIM You have a good knowledge of Standards Engineering and Quality You are aware of the technology trends and interest in RT You are fluent in English spoken and written The following skills would be highly desirable You have a good knowledge of the METERON systems, in particular MOE and MOPS. You have a good knowledge of CCSDS Mission Operation MO Services, ESA GSTVi systems and dtn. You have experience dealing with external interfaces. You are familiar with MDS coordination. A vacancy for a Test Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in NEWPORT We are looking for a highly experienced professional to manage the Test and Verification project, defining and then conducting, or overseeing, all test and verification activities on the project to cost, time and quality targets in line with the Business Management System. We are looking for a Program Manager for our satellite control subsystems and components manufacturing client in the Bergen op Zoom area. The Objective of the role The Program Manager Propulsion PMP manages and acts as primary point of contact for the Customer and the Propulsion Core Teams System Engineer and Product Assurance Engineer and is responsible for the Product Leadership OnTimeOnQualityOnCost for Propulsion Systems or SubSystems. This Program Management process consists of a considerable variety of tasks amongst which, planning of resources, production andor tools, calculation of qualitative and quantitative proposals, managing the project administration and evaluating the production andor program performance on the basis of factual analysis. Strong focus on managing the program budgets within target. Results are presented on a monthly basis as part of a Program Status Review PSR. The PMP is primarily responsible within the company for the execution of commercial, financial, technical, operational and quality policies related to one or more products or programs within the Propulsion portfolio. The PMP is responsible of the good execution of the Propulsion System or SubSystems projects Time, Quality and Cost and organizes in relationship with the Technical and Business Director the release of all the associated proposals for the company. Main Tasks Manage the Propulsion Systems or SubSystems Projects in order to support the Companys OnTimeOnQualityOnCost philosophy.Manage the project budget and report financial status on a monthly basis in close cooperation with the FA manager and site director. Manage the profitability and the associated reserves Risk and Management Reserves of all hisher assigned projects, in the objectives given by the Site Director. Directly supervises procedures specifically related to the Propulsion Systems or SubSystems. Manage on a monthly basis, in close cooperation with the Projects Manager, the Project Status Review meeting related to Propulsion Systems or SubSystems Projects. Secondary tasks The PMP is up to date in relation to competitor product development performance understands market requirements for current future products and delivers roadmap input.
