KLEO Connect GmbH is a startup looking to provide global satellite data communications services. The group is currently working with international partners to design a megaconstellation of small LEO satellites and cuttingedge user terminals and ground infrastructure. The system will deliver connectivity solutions with levels of performance, service and resilience that have been previously unmatched in the industry. KLEO has a growing team with offices in Berlin and Munich. We are looking to supplement our very talented team in Berlin with multiple positions of Junior Business Development Manager wm The Junior Business Development Manager will hold an important role within KLEO. The ideal candidate is an experienced, reliable and professional person, selfmotivated and proactive with previous experience in an international environment. As Junior Business Development Manager you will learn to establish and increase market share by growing relationships with both new and existing customers in industries like Automotive, Maritime, Transportation, Agriculture, Infrastructure etc., and developing sales strategies and submitting proposals to win targeted opportunities. You will develop an understanding of the business and acquire a comprehensive set of skills which will enable you to propose solutions in response to customer needs. Main Responsibilities Identify potential clients in the special target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective clients business needs Analyze customers complex requirements and effectively offer feasible solutions Develop relationships with prospective clients and maintain existing client relationships Partner with Business Development Team members to create proposals for current and prospective clients Define business modelscases for new product and service sales Collaborate with technical teams to ensure contracted product specifications are executed ontime and as agreed Become a subject matter expert on our business services, processes and operations, and remain uptodate on industry needs and trends Travel to domestic and international customer sites and other events as required. Skills and Qualifications A university degree in engineering, business or a related discipline Minimum 1 3 years of work experience in a global environment and related fieldbusiness development, native understanding of European and China market a big plus Ability to prepare presentations and supporting materials for both customers and internal business reviews Strong analytical and excellent organizational skills Independent handson working style Excellent communications and interpersonal skills written and verbal Attention to detail and strong motivation Fluency in English working language and other languages particularly German or Chinese. The candidate we are looking for will operate as Facility ManagerProject Manager in the Infrastructure Section of the ESTEC Estates and Facilities Management Division. Under the direct authority of the Head of the ESTEC Facility Management FM Infrastructure Section, the candidate shall be responsible for the coordination of FM generalpurpose infrastructure projects. Main duties will include Preparation of programme of requirements for the initiation of projects, of project initiation documents and project plans including forecast about budget and manpower resource needs, of statements of works and technical description, of feasibility studies and business cases, and the request and delivery of the necessary permits Preparation and active support to the ESA Technical Officer in the procurement of general purpose infrastructure activities including the preparation of tender documents including technical specifications, the participation in tender evaluation boards, the review of tender offers, the negotiation and selection of contractors for the execution of the activities Reviewing conceptual studies, technical experts inputs andor engineering studies e.g. concept designs, preliminary designs, technical notes, related to general purpose infrastructure projects or related to the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities which are outsourced to an external company Ensuring the proper coordination and execution of general purpose infrastructure project activities by outsourced contractors, including the monitoring of all related activities, the compliance to the applicable norms and legislations, the compliance to the project requirements and schedule, the organisation and reporting of project reviews, the control of the performance of the contractors, the maintenance of a project library and documentation, the follow upcoordination of changes to the project scope, and the review of payments Coordinating the commissioning and acceptance of the works upon project delivery, preparing the closeout of the projects, including the follow up of eventual nonconformance items, preparing acceptance certificates, reviewing and archiving asbuilt documentation Specific Qualification Requirements The ideal candidate has a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Architecture, Civil Engineering or in Mechanical Facilities Engineering or in Electrical Engineering. Heshe has a substantial experience minimum 5 years and a proven capability in building construction andor building maintenance or in the coordination of Facility Management projects. Sound analytical skills e.g. be able to analyse any technical issue or infrastructure installation and create a clear and detailed technical report for root cause analysis, improvement or repair. As much handon technical as procedure thinking skills. Ability to work autonomously as well as with a team. A good planning and organisational skills, team spirit and ability to work in an international environment. An experience of ESA tender rules procedures and of international procurement methodology would be an asset. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these two languages is required together with a working knowledge of the other language. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive a permanent contract and a good remuneration in line with ESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Training to improve efficiency and provide strength for future career are of course included.
