Polyester fiber prices have further dropped in Pakistan whereas cotton fiber prices were rebounding over a too low level in production once again this season. Yarn prices have therefore moved into different directions in the past seven days. Our weekly review offers a comprehensive picture of the domestic and export yarn markets in Pakistan, with cotton yarns, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose, polyester spun and viscose spun prices being covered. Spun yarn prices have given signs of weakness in the past days in India, as market activities were reduced by Diwali celebration. Polyester spun prices have dropped in line with a decline of PSF prices on the domestic market and reflected by our new tables covering yarn prices in Tirupur (Tamil Nadu) and Bhiwandi (Maharashtra). Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Spun yarn prices are dropping in China, with polyester yarn prices more significantly declining, in line with the sharp fall of staple fiber prices in the last two weeks. Viscose spun prices are now also sliding, after VSF prices have begun retreating back to lower levels. Yarn import prices have continued decreasing in the past seven days. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared. All data are available for download.

Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton prices could rebound in the next year in China, over a lack of state reserves and a need to import quality cotton. Chinese demand for foreign cotton would therefore support prices on the international market. New York's futures would not necessarily reflect international trends, due to additional tariffs depressing China's demand for US cotton.
