Fiber and yarn prices have stabilized in Pakistan where cotton prices have been weaker in the last seven days and polyester fiber prices may soon follow, our Pakistan correspondent reports. Spun yarn prices could therefore drop, over a rise of cotton arrivals on the domestic market. Our weekly review offers a comprehensive picture of the domestic and export yarn markets in Pakistan, with cotton yarns, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose, polyester spun and viscose spun prices being covered. India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn prices have begun slightly receding on the domestic market in India whereas export prices were further plunging over a sharp fall of the Indian rupee. Demand for Indian cotton fibers and yarns could now rebound from China, offering some strong support to domestic prices in rupee terms. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.

Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton prices have stayed unchanged in the last week, with a firm support above 81 cents per lb in New York. Sharply stronger demand from China, but also from Vietnam, Bangladesh and Indonesia should maintain prices at relatively high levels in the current season, as production will slightly drop and stocks will again plunge in China, according to just released USDA data. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India and Pakistan are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Spun polyester prices have begun falling in the last seven days in China, in line with the decline of polyester staple fiber prices on the domestic market. 100% PSF yarns have lost 300 to 500 yuan in Qianqing from recent peak levels. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
