EEE Parts Support Engineer

Purpose Support for EEE Parts Selection, associated PA and related activities. Key Tasks Maintain a coherent approach to EEE parts selection in line with company guidelines and project requirements. Liaise with product design engineers, production procurement entities on parts selection and part related issues such as derating, radiation tolerance and reliability and assembly. Collation of informationdata and maintenance of the EEE parts database in cooperation with ECAD and other teams Provide technical support to Peer Reviews and MRBs as required. Help develop and maintain internal information sharing on EEE parts including EEE parts alerts Coordinate EEE activities between equipment suppliers, prime contractor external, review authorities and procurement agents. For projects working i.a.w. ESCC requirements review internal subcontractor DCLs and PADs for compliance to project technical and PA requirements. Participate in Parts Control Boards as required Support project teams in EEE related activities including review and generation of project related documents such as procurement, BoM, specifications, DPAs, Reports or Goodsin data review Knowledge, Skills and Experience Strong background in Electronic Engineering, including knowledge of EEE parts, part classes, technologies and design application. Previous experience in parts engineering in Space andor HiReliability domain using qualified parts. Working knowledge of ESA MIL systems Knowledge of commercial EEE parts and qualities Good appreciation or experience of circuit design, part application and product assembly would be beneficial Appreciation of the effects of ionising radiation on parts. Position description Are you motivated by the opportunity to work for Galileo? Galileo is Europes own global satellite system and currently consists of a constellation of 22 satellites. You will play a key role in developing a missioncritical systems for one of the most prestigious space programmes. Your future role and responsibilities The ILS Integrated Logistics Support Engineer is responsible and for ensuring all process are in place that the system designed can be built and maintained. ILS is a recognised discipline of management techniques in relation to Support costs including manpower, facilities, tools etc, Documentation, Training and Logistics over the life of the system being supported. The ILS Engineer is responsible to deliver a supportable system to the specified requirements maximising system up time and minimising cost. Your responsibilities include Maintenance of the System Product Tree. Preparation and maintenance of the ILS Plan. Preparation and Maintenance of a Obsolescence plan, including a Spares plan.
