Position pending on successful contract award to Airbus for EGNOS V3 phase CD. EGNOS is a satellite based European augmentation system for GPS signals and the upcoming European Navigation system Galileo. Currently the next generation EGNOS V3 is under development. The EGNOS Performance Engineer will work in the EGNOS V3 team thereby supporting the EGNOS performance and qualification activities. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Contribute to development, implementation, verification of upcoming exploitation phase of EGNOS Perform analysis of signal in space performance and functionality in contribution to the consolidation of the system level design including the update of the corresponding documentation and engineering tools Contribute to EGNOS integration, testing and verification activities with focus on functionality and performance Specification of system algorithms Support system simulations, performance assessment and analysis Support apportionment of performance requirements to subsystems Determination of system state probabilities and availability of system elements Analysis of error budget contributors of GNSS signals ODTS error, troposphere, ionosphere including scintillations as input data for service volume analysis and raw data generation Consolidation of Position accuracy, timing and availability budgets Provide the SiS Integrity performances in the pseudorange domain Provide compliance to applicable performance requirements Provide the position domain performances for all services defined Troubleshooting and determination analysis of anomalies Definition of data analysis methods Enhancement of system performance analysis tools and Software Maintain system performance budget file Support system performance qualification activities Presentation of results in front of the customer and conferences. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Masters Degree in Maths, Natural Science or equivalent Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of satellite based navigation systems like EGNOS, Galileo, GPS Solid experience in Engineering Deep understanding of satellite data dissemination flow and navigation message generation and processing Profound experience in satellite navigation systems and segment engineering, as well as in integration, verification and in operation of large ground segments Profound experience in standard engineering software development languages like Matlab and CC.
