A vacancy for a Data Processing Avionics System Engineer Preliminary Projects mf has arisen at Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join the Data Processing OnBoard Software department and will be in charge of supplying data processing and avionics support to the project teams based on a statement of need for the mission onboard data processing or avionics, analysing the need and participating in proposing the most appropriate data processing and avionics architecture cost, weight, power from a set of solutions available from internal or external suppliers. You will also be responsible for the following activities Targeting the most appropriate processing architecture FPGA, single core or multicore processors, DSP processor, etc. Having a good understanding of algorithms signal and image processing Being proactive in making suggestions and able to emphasise the advantages of an innovation or new technology Following up the development of a prototype and ensuring the entire system is coherent algorithm, performance to fulfil the mission need. You will also be in charge of participating in the coordination of RDRT activities based on feedback from project teams, expressed needs and analysis of future needs, formulating an RD development strategy aiming to improve performance andor reduce costs. Target areas onboard computer architecture FPGA, DSP, multicore, communication buses SpW, TTethernet, CAN, 1553, etc.. You will also be responsible for Participating in upstream lobbying to agencies to align the RD objectives Managing the response to a call to tender for RD activities with ESA, CNES or the European commission H2020 programme Managing a transnational RD project, coordinating the activities of the internal and external stakeholders and carrying out the project management schedule, budgets, and interface with the customer, etc. Communicating on and optimising lessons learned from the results obtained. This position may require travel within Europe once per month. The successful applicant will join the Bid Support Project Management department and will be the design authority for networks and communication systems, either sold to customers or installed in our own teleports. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities. As a member of the Engineering team, you will also be in charge of the following activities Managing all architecture aspects of endtoend communication solutions, which includes the general design of IT and transmission subsystems Being involved in all project phases from presales to configuration testing, including participation in deployment and support for operation Managing development projects smallmedium sized either Customer or RDfocused. Job description Our customer, EUMETSAT, will be managing the routine mission operations of the Sentinel3 low Earth orbiting spacecraft for the European Copernicus programme. Responsibilities We are looking for a senior consultant to provide ocean science training and user support consultancy support for the activities mainly related to the ocean activities within the Training and User Support Teams of the User and Climate Services Division at EUMETSAT. In this position you will support the exploitation of the Sentinel3 marine data in respect to a growing community of users, in particular through the provision of information, management of training activities and engagement with user groups in coordination with the entity responsible for the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service. You will be part of the training team and will work with experts across EUMETSAT and partner organisations. The main tasks are Identify and regularly update the relevant user organizations, their fora and possible intermediaries on the Ssentinel3 marine mission and the marine data stream. Provide regular information to users and user groups on the status of the mission and the related marine and ocean products and service. Analyse and handle related user enquiries and user requests received via the EUMETSAT Helpdesk. Review the framework for user communications activities with respect to the Sentinel 3 mission and related marine and ocean products and services. Support the development of the relationships with key users and subject matter experts and facilitate feedback on the quality of the products and services provided.
