Summary An opportunity for an experienced Engineer with Configuration Management experience to work for Telespazio VEGA onsite at ESAC. Objective To develop and maintain CM including documentation management plan applicable to the specific missionproject. Responsibilities Duties Duties will include but will not be limited to Service specific Configuration Management and Quality Assurance tasks in support to the Development, Validation and Operation activities at DPAC consortium Level Maintenance of CM documentation, including Configuration Management Plan, Configuration Item List Maintaining baseline and supporting development activities using SVN versioning tool, Nexus library management tools Maintaining JIRA configuration and supporting the teams in its use Preparing periodically Quality Assurance Assessment on development activities Support Test and validation activities Report periodically to the PA responsible Carry out configuration management of all software products development mainly at ESAC Organize CCB with development teams Attend progress meeting Maintain validation and operational environments at ESAC Maintain the relevant tools for CM activities, e.g., JIRA for issue tracking, SVN for software management, Jenkins for continuous integrations. Deploy new software when required Qualifications Experience PhD or MSc or equivalent in a scientific or technical subject Relevant professional experience of several years in Project Support activities, Configuration management, Organisation of meetings, IT web based technologies and WINDOWS MAC systems, Elaboration of management and technical documentation Good knowledge of project management standards and concepts Good knowledge of standard configuration control methods and practices Good knowledge of configuration control tools e.g. JIRA Qualities Possess excellent communications skills. Be able to document their work. Feel comfortable in an international working environment and be fluent in English a high level of written and spoken English is essential. Configuration Manager Production Manager

We have currently two open positions. We are looking for a Production Manager and a Configuration Manager that will be working for a a worldclass company in space research and technology development. The Production Manager will manage the production workflow according to priorities as specified by the Project Manager, optimising use of available resources. Main tasks related to this position are Maintain resourcelevelled subschedules for the production activities. Maintain current production schedule information Inform the Project Manager of resource conflicts or overallocations and identify impact and possible mitigation strategies Plan required equipment maintenance to minimise schedule impact Schedule test activities with external test providers Plan inhouse production activities making optimal use of available resource Adapt production priorities in response to Project Management requirements Support the Project Manager Project Scheduler The Configuration Manager will be able to ensure that all deliverables are correctly configured, with full traceability of all parts, materials and processes from specification through to delivery. Main tasks related to this position are Manage and assure the hardware configuration with regards to requirements and design changes. Manage the master project document index. Liaise with the Product Assurance manager. Manage the CIDL and ABCL and assure these reflect the configuration of each hardware deliverable. Createmanage a single location for all livecurrent project documents including customer requirements and reference docs, internal process procedures, ICDs. Prepare datapacks for all reviews such as CDR, MRR, TRR, TRBSRB, DRB. Chair and manage change control boards CCBs Maintain the Verification Control Documents for each hardware deliverable, using DOORS or Excel.

BepiColombo Configuration Management Engineer

Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to ESA and in particular at ESTEC and ESAC. Aurora has the opportunity to expand our support within ESAC. Overview BepiColombo is a joint ESAJAXA mission to Mercury. The mission comprises two spacecraft, ESAs Mercury Planetary Orbiter MPO and JAXAs Mercury Magnetospheric Orbiter MMO. The two spacecraft will be launched in October of 2018 with arrival at Mercury in December 2025. The activities of the MPO Science Ground Segment SGS include Science Operations Planning of the MPO payload, science data processing and data distribution to the instrument teams, quick look data analysis of science data and archiving of data in the BepiColombo science archive. The MPO SGS has interfaces with the Operational Ground Segment OGS at ESOC, the MMO JAXA Sagamihara Space Operations Centre SSOC, the MPO Instrument Teams and the Scientific Community. The SGS is based at the European Space Astronomy Centre ESAC in Villanueva de la Caada, Madrid, Spain. Specific Service Tasks 1. Service specific tasks in support to the Instrument PI expert contracts Overall tracking of 10 contracts with PI Teams from an administrative point of view.
