For our activities in ESTEC, we are currently looking for an Educational Outreach Production Administrator. Tasks and Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of STEM Education and Outreach Unit of the ESA Education and Knowledge Management Office, and in line with the communication guidelines of ESA, the Key Person shall be responsible for the coordination and administration of all tasks related to the production and maintenance of educational outreach products and materials, from the Education online platforms and social media, to the graphical design and production of ESAs educational communication and promotional items. In particular, the incumbent shall perform the following tasks in close coordination with the ESA Communication Department, manage the evolution of the ESA Education online platforms from the web design point of view, with focus on the functional refurbishment of the ESA Education portal www.esa.int based on given requirements the work shall also include the design and management of an online platform for the registration and tracking of educatorsstudents participating in ESA Education projects, as well as the creation of an online template for the creation of ESA classroom resources update and maintain the Education web portal and associated sites using the ESA customized web content management system eZ Publishing update and maintain the Educationrelated social media channels facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, etc liaise with external ESA Education writers for the production of web articles and texts liaise with the ESA Education external translation service for the translation of written materials liaise with external providers for the acquisition of webrelated licenses, where needed contribute to the definition of requirements for license agreements andor intellectual property registration e.g trademarks on visual and web matters produce graphical layouts and 2D illustrations for ESA Education outreach products e.g. brochures, posters, etc when required, liaise with external providers for the material production of such items this task also includes follow up the design, ask for quotations, follow up delivery within deadlines and check the quality of the final product create and maintain the Educationrelated and ESAkids visual identity branding and manuals for all ESA Education projects and products incorporate inputs and information related to educational activities of other ESA directorates into the online platforms and outreach products represent the ESA Education Office in the ESA Web Portal weekly editorial meetings. Requirements The Key Person should have a Master Degree in communication andor webvisual design. Experience with Web frontend development and design html5, CSS Managing and publishing websites and social media knowledge of IPS, eZ Publishing or similar CMS is an asset Graphics design 2D and layout, in particular mastering of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator Proficiency in MS office and desktop publishing software knowledge of the Education and space fields. Good analytical skills Fluent in English knowledge of another Member State language is an asset Good communication skills, verbal and written ability to work in a team Knowledge of the Education field andor the space sector will be considered an asset Capability of establishing and maintaining relevant interfaces within and outside the Agency, e.g. ESA Communication Dept, external providers and so on Autonomy in the execution of tasks and ability to manage hisher workload, identifying priorities and actions ability to cope with pressure, meet deadlines and deliver on time. AASHTO Congratulates Nadeau on nomination as FHWA Administrator.

AASHTO offered congratulations to Deputy Administrator Greg Nadeau on his nomination as Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Administrator. Calling Nadeau "a solid choice" by President Obama, AASHTO executive director Bud Wright said that Greg "served as the acting FHWA administrator with distinction" and cited his "energy and vision" regarding Every Day Counts program. Given significant issues facing transportation industry, Wright said that FHWA "needs a strong leader."

This post is for a limited duration of two years and is classified in the A2A4 grade band of the Coordinated Organisations salary scale. LOCATION ESOC, Darmstadt Germany with resident assignment in Redu Belgium. DUTIES The postholder will initially, during the development phase, report directly to the Head of the Education and Knowledge Management Office and later, during the implementation phase, to the Head of the Tertiary Education Unit. Specific duties will be in line with ESAs educational policy and objectives and conducted in close cooperation with the other areas of the Education Office and will include the following in liaison with ESA technical departments, design and develop the CubeSat AIV facility follow the development of the infrastructure to host it equip it to ESA standards. To that end, initiate and follow up the procedure to procure the necessary equipment as well as the required set of services to run the AIV activities with students in liaison with the Fly Your Satellite programme manager, manage the operations of the AIV facility. In particular, establish the AIV and operations programme organise the related logistics prepare and manage the dedicated budget supervise the team of engineers contracted to support the AIV activities in liaison with the relevant ESA departments and in coordination with the Training and Learning Centre Administrator, design and establish the local Concurrent Design Facility CDF develop and run CDF sessions with student in the framework of the Training and Learning Centre programme, transfer space expertise and communicate best practices to the participating European university students in particular, lecture on project management, mission design and analysis, operations, quality assurance and standardisation contribute to development of the tertiary education strategy and stimulate cooperation with Member and Cooperating States on universitylevel education activities actively contribute to the Offices awareness, communication and outreach activities. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants for this post should have a Masters degree in a relevant field of space systems engineering. Substantial experience of design, development, integration and testing of space hardware is required. Comprehensive knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems structure, power, OBDH, AOCS, TTC, etc. is equally required. Candidates should be particularly familiar with andor have experience of CubeSat design, integration, testing and operations. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong interest in educational activities in science and technology in general and be willing and able to share and transfer their expertise to students. Previous experience in project management and managing handson educational projects will be an essential asset. Candidates should have good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. They should have the ability to work in an autonomous, effective and cooperative manner in a diverse, international environment. In addition, applicants should have good analytical, organisational and reporting skills and a proactive attitude to solving problems. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these two languages is required together with a working knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of another member state language is an asset.
