Ideal candidate Essentials The suitable candidate should have a BSc Diploma in Electrical andor Electronics techniques field with a minimum of 4years of experience Experience in work preparation and technical solutions and in work supervision The working languages within the section are English and Dutch. A good knowledge of one of these two languages is required together with a working knowledge of the other language. Practical and supervisory experience in lowvoltage installations, heavy power installations up to 1250 KVA. Good knowledge of High Tension installations and is qualified as work responsibleinstallation responsible according to NENEN 50110 Possesses a KEMA approved High Tension degree Desirables Proven knowledge of the Dutch electrical norms and regulations NEN1010, EN50110, NEN3140, NEN3840. The Electrical Technician should have MBO level or equivalent in other education systems for Electrical andor Electronics techniques. Proven knowledge of NENEN50110, NEN1010, NEN3140, NEN3840. At least 5 year experience in organization and control works on the Low Voltage installations 400V230V. At least 5 year experience in organization and control works on the High Voltage installations 10kV. Working skills in the using Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, Access and Project. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line with ESA Job Class E2. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 32 per week 0,80 FTE. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Technician, Station Support Betzdorf Luxembourg Context The Technician, Station Support SSG Team covers the ground communications systems and power system operations on a 247 basis. The incumbent shall maintain and operate the SES ground assets in Betzdorf, Redu and other third party sites, with the main goal to provide uninterrupted communication with the satellites, and provide support to third party teleports that are contracted for TTC and payload services. SSG acts as first line intervention to the Betzdorf power and HVAC systems during outofoffice hours and provide hand and eyes support to hosted customer equipment. Responsibilities Respond to any ground system anomaly that affects the communications traffic, TTC, Orbit Determination or other measurement and analysis systems. Restore the service with the least possible delay Support Satellite and Communications Operations ReConfigure the Betzdorf Teleport in order to provide backhaul, signal processing and uplink services to our customers Proactively maintain the Betzdorf and backup stations in an excellent state Perform various backup switching.
