Senior Payload Systems Engineer, Galileo mf

To expand our Galileo payload engineering team, we are looking for a Senior Payload Systems Engineer mf. You work closely with spacecraft systems, structural, thermal, and Assembly Integration and Test engineering to ensure satisfactory navigation payload performance throughout all project phases. Your Tasks Monitor industry developments and planned invitations to tender ITTs, support the maintenance and planning of the technology roadmap related to GNSS. Coordinate and contribute to the internal training, knowledge, and tools database. Support and lead the design and development of the next generation payload architecture including architecture tradeoffs, performance model development, and verification planning. Lead requirements flowdown and specification writing for subsystems and units Amplifiers, Antennas, Filters, Signal Generator, etc. Review and assess supplier proposals. Model and assess the RF Power, Signal performance, clock frequency stability, and other payload performance parameters. Support test campaigns by analyzing measured payload performance and assessingtroubleshooting anomaliesnonconformances. Analyze any nonconformances for impact and gain approval from customer. Review and assess supplier documentation and participate in review meetings design, qualification, testreadiness, posttest, acceptance, etc. as customer. Assess onorbit performance and anomaly reports. Travel regularly to suppliercustomer sites supporting testing and technical meetings as above. Your Qualifications Degree in ElectricalElectronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Signal Processing, or comparable discipline. Graduate level preferred. Intermediate to senior professional experience in the space industry. Selfmanaged and proactive working style. Working level proficiency in written and spoken English. German or other EU language skills advantageous. Junior Development Engineer Payload System Simulation Start date and duration Starting ASAP on a one year contract Customer and Location The position is for Airbus Defence and Space based in ImmenstaadFriedrichshafen. The location for this position is on one of the major sites of our client in Southern Germany. Airbus DS is one of the key players in the European satellite and launcher industries. At the Immenstaad site around 2500 people are employed, working on space and defence projects. The space division is specialized in Earth Observation, Navigation and Science. In this position as Junior Development Engineer Payload System Simulation, you will be responsible for design, prototyping and analysis of algorithms. The list of tasks is as following Tasks and Responsibilities Design, prototyping and analysis of algorithms for the gemoetric, radiometric and spectral processing of remote sensing data from spaceborn instruments imager, radar, sounder Support definition, implementation and use of simulation models to generate representative data for the analysis of these algorithms, covering the scene of observation, the instrument signal path and the relevant satellite characteristics Support establishment of specifications for the operational processing of satellite remote sensing data Requirements Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or comparable field.
