We are currently looking for a EPSSG INR Consultancy Support to support our customer in Germany. EPSSG INR Consultancy Support Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Help to develop the INR processing functionality for the mission data processing of all EPSSG instrument missions, throughout the procurement lifecycle Acquire detailed knowledge on the EPSSG System INR architecture Ensure that the INR processing functionality, including INR testing functionality, is consistent with the EPSSG System architecture Establish and implement a model of the EPSSG INR System architecture Develop, maintain, and procure INR related test tools and software Ensure a proper knowledge transfer of all INR aspects from industry is properly implemented Define, develop and maintain INR related processing functionality requirements and specifications Prepare documents to support tender actions in the area of INR data processing, and, potentially, evaluate responses to them Support studies and Instrument Functional Chain Team IFCT activities in the area of INR and geometrical processing Monitor and support INR aspects during the GS development Support system engineering activities related to INR Support interactions related to INR with the Space Segment. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in aerospace engineering, physics, remote sensing or equivalent Several years experience in system design, specifications and implementation of INR processors andor simulators andor mathematical models for both imager and sounder instruments Working knowledge and experience with image Navigation and Registration INR methodologies and techniques specification, development, and testing of INR processor software for threeaxis stabilised platforms integration, Verification and Validation of INR processing subsystems for satellite meteorological or remote sensing data proficiency in a highlevel programming language e.g. CC suitable for the implementation of prototype and operational INR processor software characterisation and modelling of space segment elements related to INR e.g. scan mirror and line of sight models experience with threeaxis stabilised is considered a clear advantage familiarity with mission data processing of satelliteborne instruments in particular in relation to INR, geo location, and geometrical processing Ability to perform under high workloads, high degree of autonomy and good analytical skills coupled with excellent communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Monitoring and Control System Consultancy Support 1313027 Job Description This position describes the consultancy support for a Monitoring and Control Engineer required as part of the GMES Sentinel3 ground segment team. The tasks of the Engineer will typically include Maintenance of Sentinel3 MC requirement specifications and liaison with the operational users for the definition of the requirements baseline. Follow up the Sentinel3 MC procurement to make sure that the delivery fits the intended purpose. Support the Sentinel3 MC ground segment team and the FOS manager. Interact with suppliers and partner organisations e.g. ESOC. Participation to the Reviews for the Monitoring and Control System and interfacing facilities. Preparation of technical notes and attendance at technical meetings. Analysis and review of any relevant Sentinel3 documentation.
