Polyester chain prices could now stabilize at their current levels, as producers are progressively reducing their operating rates ahead of looming Chinese holidays. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.

Polyester Fiber Prices in China, India and Pakistan (Weekly Report)

Polyester prices are no more falling in China and could slightly bottom out in the coming weeks, over the current recovery of petrochemical prices. Demand remains however weak from downward processors and is not expected rebounding in the coming period. PSF prices have been lowered in India whereas staying frozen in Pakistan. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) on the domestic markets in China, India, and Pakistan. Polyester filament prices in China are also released, whereas the report includes a price comparison of polyester with cotton and viscose in China.

Viscose prices have begun more significantly falling in China by contrast with the current rebound of petrochemical prices. Demand remains very depressed whereas new capacities could result in lower price offers in 2019. Our weekly report covers the viscose/rayon staple fiber and filament markets over the last 12 months. Viscose spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan are also available. Cotton linter, cotton pulp and wood pulp prices on domestic and import markets are being tracked over the last 12 months, in addition.
