Engineer, Service Assurance Systems US United States Manassas, Virginia YOUR ROLE As an Engineer, Service Assurance Systems, you will be responsible for the management and support of tools and systems deployed to support and manage SES services and infrastructure. You will be expected to work closely with SES operations and engineering teams on the shared goal of improving operational efficiency, service quality and customer experience. You will assist Global Services operations in solving complex service anomalies in the RF GroundSatellite, IP and platform domains through increased use of SSA, analytics and automation. You will be responsible for building service support methodologies and systems fit for SES future operations, as well as reporting systems that contain a high degree of intelligence and autonomy. You will assist in the integration of managed service architectures in the enterprise data, mobility and video domains, and engage with SES next generation services HTS GEOMEO on a technological and service delivery level. You will support other SES operational systems involved in the service delivery chain such as contribution, distribution and management networks, all of which have global scope. You will work with Network Management Systems NMS from multiple vendors in the IP, ground infrastructure and network domains. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that Global Services monitoring systems are highly available, accurate and fit for purpose Work closely with partners in the OSS and BSS domains in the definition and implementation of API interfaces and data flows Capture and process monitoring, SSA and automated reporting requirements from operations teams and from SES customers when required customer portal services Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of new systems, software and services Provide 247 tools support to SES operations teams on call basis Drive service and infrastructure data analytics capabilities across the SES group Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the service delivery process, as well as with supporting functions SES IT, Digital Transformation Office etc. Identify and implement systems to introduce greater automation in daily operations Plan and coordinate maintenance and configuration change activities Provide technical support to customers when required Perform systems and service acceptance tests when required Support the development of operational tools and systems Produce and deliver high quality training material YOUR PROFILE Minimum Bachelors degree in IT, Telecommunications, or similar field BAC 3, BSc required education can be substituted for experience Minimum 510 years combined experience in an operations or engineering position Experience in the field of Information Technology, Communications Systems, IP networks or the broadcast video environment Good knowledge of Satellite communications techniques GEOMEOLEO and of service datavideo platforms Experience in programmatic interface usage and application Development experience with network automation tools is a plus Strong software tool development background Python, Shell, JavaScript Strong experience with SQLMySQL Database, RESTful interfaces. JSON, SOAP, etc. software architectures and API interfaces Excellent knowledge of application interface protocols SQL, XML, REST, SNMP etc. Strong UnixLinux system understanding Proven track record in platformserver management and trouble shooting Strong experience in service support and implementation with highly complex networks and remotely deployed systems Ability to work independently, capacity to manage and coordinate complex operational tasks and projects Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure Strong customer focus and attention to details, committed to excellence and quality in all areas Good written and oral communications skills Fluent in English Ability and willingness to travel occasionally Whats in it for you? Senior Engineer, Service Improvement United States Bristow, Virginia Role Description Summary As the Senior Engineer, Service Improvement you will role play a critical role in Network Managed Services in driving Service Improvement initiatives especially in terms of problem management for all incidents reported in the Networks NOC. The key objective of this role is to support service improvement related to ensure improvement of Customer experience and contractual SLAs with our customers In this position you will work closely with cross functional team Operations, Engineering, Tools and Customer facing organizations to ensure that persistent and chronic issues are identified and corrected, improving SLAs as well as Customer Satisfaction levels with Managed Services operations. You will also be responsible for ensuring problem management, reporting process adherence and compliance, and streamlining processes and procedures.
