Polyester Fiber Prices in China, India and Pakistan (Weekly Report)

2018-09-26 19:19:44| EmergingTextiles.com

Polyester fiber prices have slowly declined in the last seven days in China, with prices far from returning back to the July levels before their sudden and spectacular surge of August and early September. With cured oil prices now rising to new multiple year highs and polyester intermediate prices therefore finding some strong support, fiber prices could eventually stabilize, in line with an expected rebound of textile production in China after next week's holidays. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) on the domestic markets in China, India, and Pakistan. Polyester filament prices in China are also released, whereas the report includes a price comparison of polyester with cotton and viscose in China.

Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

2018-09-26 19:19:44| EmergingTextiles.com

PTA prices have already bottomed out at the end of last week in China after previously plunging from recent peaks, as a clear sign that polyester chain prices could rapidly stabilize and stay at much higher levels than a few weeks ago. Downstream textile and clothing producers would be forced to accept the recent jump of their material costs. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.
