A vacancy for a Network Product Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Newport. Within the Secure Communications division of Airbus Defence and Space, the successful candidate will be responsible for the lifecycle management of products for international use. This involves defining and leading the development of products and the monitoring and optimisation of existing products. The Product Manager is the champion for the product within the company and will engage with internal and external stakeholders in the course of hisher duty. The candidate should have a blend of business and technical understanding, should be an effective communicator, and will work within a team of Product Managers. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include In close cooperation with the sales, business development and program delivery organisations, identify the market size, the market needs, the key success factors or differentiator that will allow our productsolution to be successful. In conjunction with engineering organisations, define innovative relevant target solutions Manage and maintain the roadmap working to align products, removing overlap and producing a coherent Secure Communications portfolio of products. Manage and control the solutionproduct development process providing clear and regular reporting to the business through monthly reports. Work with the Portfolio Pricing function to set up standard configuration templates e.g. parametric costprice models for the SolutionProduct. Provide product material to promote sales as part of the overall portfolio capability Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders Support bidding activities, be these for an integration project or service sale. Bring product expertise in terms of solution, but particularly competitive advantage. Contribute in project execution if needed and requested providing technical product expertise and solution governance. Analyse market need and existing assets, define strategy and build corresponding Business Case This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. A requirement for a Project Manager to support the delivery of Earth Observation projects has arisen within Airbus Defence Spaces Intelligence Group. The role of the Project Manager is to ensure that their projects are delivered on time, within budget to agreed scope and to customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will manage project stakeholder relationships as well as customer expectation and requirements. The Project Manager will ensure the efforts of project resources are directed and coordinated to achieve the project milestones Ensure effective integration of lessons learnt, active risk, opportunity and contract internal or external management and effective management of partners and suppliers. The Project Manager will also be required to support in the management and creation of bid responses. The role will be based in Guildford and will require some UK and International travel. Ensure appropriate project management processes and quality gates are followed. Support continual improvement of project management process. Plan and schedule of project work. Establish resource requirements to meet agreed deadlines and work with the resource manager to secure resource allocation to achieve project milestones and ensure resource forecast requirements are kept up to date. Communicate expectations to the project team. Coordinate internal resources and third partiesvendors to ensure smooth execution of projects. Track and report project progress and performance against baseline in an accurate and timely manner. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders Sales, Product OwnersManagers, Marketing, Finance etc. Establish and maintain relationships with third partiesvendors TechnicalJobrelated essential skills Proven experience of Project Management for specific Earth Observationthemed projects, including contract management. A good technical understanding of Satellite data optical and radar data is required. Good stakeholder management subcontract management with the ability to present project results to key stakeholders. Other skills Problem solving the project manager must take ownership of issues, discussion of solutions and responsibility for driving to successful completion Organisation the project manager must be organised with ability to plan, prepare and prioritise Efficient handle tasks and assignments in a timely manner.
