Job Description For our biggest client, ESAESTEC, we are looking for a Thermal and Mechanical Testing Technician for their location in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, to join their Thermal Analysis and Verification Section. Tasks and Responsibilities Support projects and external customers in the domain of thermal and mechanical experimental verification and environmental testing of small scale space equipment in facilities of the Mechanical Systems Laboratory MSL. Heshe will be involved in all activities related to preparation, execution, and evaluation and reporting under the direct supervision of the Head of the Laboratory Support the development and the maintenance of the laboratory infrastructure Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 for operational work and shall support the definition and maintenance of working maintenance procedures for the laboratory facilities Make regular progress reports Provide adequate documentation, covering all tasks above. Requirements Technical degree BSc, diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution or equivalent with minimum 4 years of relevant experience Knowledge and practical experience of thermalmechanical testing of space equipment, associated measurement techniques, and vacuum technologies are important assets Specific knowledge and experience in vibration testing is an asset Strong background in environmental testing and thermal verification Proven experience in the area of testing with evidence of work in a laboratory and within a team of engineers and technicians Knowledge of ISO 17025 quality systems Proven experience in the area of laboratory maintenance calibration data acquisition. Telecommunication Systems Maintenance Technician Redu Space Services RSS has a vacancy for a member of the Maintenance Team at the ESAESEC Redu in the Ardenne region of Belgium. The teams main task is the maintenance of the sites infrastructure power plant, lighting, air conditioning, access control, intrusion and fire detection. It also oversees the preventive and corrective maintenance of telecommunication systems in general whether they are terrestrial or by satellite. The team brings together expertise in the electrical, mechanical, HVAC, electronics and radio frequencies fields to name only the main ones. On top of that, maintenance engineers provide technical support to a variety of missions already in place among which Galileo and the European Data Relay Satellite EDRS and are involved in the setup of new projects. In this position you will Be accountable for preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, including detailed and accurate documentation, in accordance with Belgium standards. Maintain logbooks and preventive maintenance procedures up to date Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including reporting, on assigned equipment or systems to ensure it operates in a safe, timely effective and efficient manner Work orders execution and follow up within defined timeframes Properly prioritizes workloads and manage time effectively with minimal supervision Be accountable for clear and effective communication with clients and suppliers Perform testing procedures and participate in new systems acceptance, if required Generate technical documents like spare and repair requests, anomaly reports in due time. Domains of activities Telecommunication systems terrestrial and satellite Electromechanical activities such as antennae, servos, etc Electrical power distribution Lighting and building management systems Lightning protection. Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria Have a Bachelor or Master degree in electricity and optionally electronics At least 3 years of experience Good analytical skills Strong motivation, capacity of learning and problemsolving minded Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Fluent in spoken and written French and English Team worker autonomous result and customer oriented. Tasks Operation of data handling facilities during test preparation, execution and posttest activities Performance of corrective and preventive maintenance of Thermal and Mechanical Data Handling facilities. Handling and calibration of Thermal and Mechanical test instrumentation. Participation to technical reviews such as Nonconformance Review Board, Facility Readiness Review, Lesson Learnt Review. Supporting of facility modifications and upgrades. Compilation of test and maintenance documentation. Responsibilities Performance of preventive and corrective maintenance as well as calibration tasks regarding thermal vacuum facilities thermal vacuum chamber and related auxiliaries such as sun simulator, vacuum pumps, PLC, etc. according relevant procedures. Support facility modifications and upgrades. Thermal vacuum test operator during test execution. Performance of activities related to thermal vacuum test preparation including setup of test installations according to test requirements. Report directly to the Technical Manager Thermal Facilities. Qualification and experience The holder of this post should have Experience executing of thermal vacuum tests and maintenance tasks. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in an international environment. Good communications skills, team spirit and sense of human relationships. A proactive attitude to solve problems with a critical mind. Ability to work in shift. Flexibility and motivation. Fluent English language skills French andor Dutch language skills would be beneficial.
