Overview The candidate will work for the HR Support Services Division of the ESA Human Resources Department. The principle tasks and responsibilities will include While under the overall supervision of the Head of the Staff Administration Service, the post holder works autonomously as the main contact point for a defined group of ESTEC staff ca. 250. Specific qualification requirements Completed secondary education and subsequent relevant vocational professional training, certificates. At least 2 years of relevant experience with HR administration, preferably within an international environment. Attention to detail, affinity with figures. Ability to work autonomously, resourceful and focussed on delivering a sound administration and good customer service. Excellent sense of discretion and confidentiality. General interest in, and understanding of legal texts in the area of HR. Good communication skills in English and, in particular, the ability to draft clear written correspondence. Languages skills Fluent English written and spoken. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Responsibilities You will be assigned as Assistant Configuration Officer to support ESAs MPCVESM project ESAs contribution to NASAs next generation Orion crewed space capsule within the Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration. This position will cover configuration control of both ESA internal activities and activities performed by Industrial Contractors. It includes the following typical duties towards Industries Control of the implementation of the Customer CM requirements by reviewing Contractors CM Plans and relevant Documents. Control of the Technical and Design Baseline by reviewing related documentation e.g. CIDL. Control of the Baselines Evolution change implementation process. Control and review of the Asbuilt certification ABCDLs. Participation to the Incremental Review in subcontractor sites in order to verify the AsDesign and AsBuilt documentation in correlation with the HW integration testing and Acceptance. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate shall have A Bachelor level degree in Business Administration or similar. At least 4 years of relevant working experience in controlling andor management of activities and resources in aerospace industry. Highly proficient in the use of modern activities and resource management support toolsdatabases of standard office automation support software packages including in particular advance usage of Excel.
