The mission Your tasks will typically include Maintenance of Sentinel3 MC requirement specifications and liaison with the operational users for the definition of the requirements baseline. Follow up the Sentinel3 MC procurement to make sure that the delivery fits the intended purpose. Support the Sentinel3 MC ground segment team and the FOS manager. Interact with suppliers and partner organisations e.g. ESOC. Participation to the Reviews for the Monitoring and Control System and interfacing facilities. Preparation of technical notes and attendance at technical meetings. Analysis and review of any relevant Sentinel3 documentation. Participation to Sentinel3 MC Monitoring and Control System facilities testing and related activities on facility as well as on system level. Analysis of test results and test reports on facility as well as on system level in particular with respect to their suitability for requirement verification and validation. Installation of the Sentinel3 MC Monitoring and Control System at EUMETSAT, while fulfilling the configuration management requirements. Verification of correct facility installation. Monitor and, where applicable, steer the lifecycle for all related anomaly reports ARs nonconformance reports NCRs. Preparation and production of routine reports as necessary. Profile In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you shall have experience of spacecraft andor ground segment procurement. You shall have a goal oriented attitude with a good level of communication skills enabling working in a highly flexible integrated team. Furthermore, you shall have, as a prerequisite a demonstrated experience of five years in the following Mission Control System specifications development and procurement within a space system. In depth knowledge of a SCOS 2000 based Monitoring and Control System. Low Earth Orbiting satellite monitoring control. AIV related activities test procedure generation, requirements verification and validation. UNIX operating system usage. It would be a distinct advantage for the Consultant to have experience with some of the following Representation of an Organisation at another Organisation while understanding the diplomatic difficulties of such a role. ECSS Space Engineering Standards, in particular those related to Mission Control. TM TC Database design, implementation and testing. Operations Preparation. MOIS. LEO Spacecraft routine operations. The Challenge We are looking for an experienced Information and Communication Technology IT Operations and System Engineer for the Galileo mission to be located at the customer site ESOC.
